Master Lian Qi will come and host the group cultivation session and preach dharma this Sunday (27/5) 11am. Everyone is welcome to participate.

Grand Master Lu’s birthday is coming. Taiwan Temple would like to invite all members to chant “High King Avalokitesvara Sutra” 1000 times. The merit will be dedicated to Grand Master Lu, praying for His good health, His longevity, His Dharma preaching and thus relieve sufferings of all sentient beings.

Whoever wants to join this activity, please reply this email with your name. The whole name list will be blessed by Grand Master Lu on 26/5.

All participants should finish the chanting before the birthday of Grand Master Lu, 6 July.

From now on, we will chant this sutra in this temple every Sunday up to 1 July, from 1:30pm to 2:30pm. Everyone is welcome to chant after our weekly group practice and free lunch.

There are 10 scrolls altogether. It is a very important repentance practice in Buddhism. Many Buddha names and Dharmas are gathered in this practice. It is to allow everyone to repent all wrong-doings from body, speech and mind. In the process of this ceremony, we perform great homage to Buddhas and Bodhisattvas for more than two thousand times. If you show your sincerity, many black karmas can be removed. Other than that, doing this practice can also improve your career and shed light on your life path.

During April, it is the period when people with Chinese heritage to pay respect to their deceased ancestors. Also to register them in the ceremony in order to remove black karmas from them, improve their spiritual levels and show them the way to the Western Paradise.

Also, it is beneficial to register your “karmic enemy and creditor” or “attached spirit” in the ceremony so that all the hatred against you will be minimized or removed. Your interpersonal relationships and health will also be improved.

Apart from normal registering (voluntary offering), you can also register as :

1. Big merit holder ($1000) – you will have
   1. a “Dharma Ship” with “Bardo Card”
   2. 2 bags of Merits containing a big lotus and a stack of golden paper money
   3. an opportunity to offer hada to the hosting Master
   4. a long praying (mala) beads – 108 beads
   5. vajra scepter
2. Merit holder ($500) – you will have
   1. Bardo Card
   2. 2 bags of Merits containing a big lotus and a stack of golden paper money
   3. a long praying (mala) beads – 108 beads
3. Small merit holder ($100) – you will have
   1. Bardo Card
   2. 1 bag of Merits containing a big lotus and a stack of golden paper money

Every 18^th day of lunar month, we will do True Buddha Repentance Practice. Time ─ 7:30pm
